The Golf Course Road Food Guide: Restaurants, Cafés & Bars on Golf Course Road and in DLF Phase 5

1. Golf Course Road at a glance

Think of Golf Course Road as a string of food hubs rather than one destination. The northern end, near Sikanderpur and DLF Phase 1, meets the Sikanderpur metro interchange. The middle — Sectors 42, 43, 53 and 54, which together make up much of DLF Phase 5 — is where the big office-and-dining complexes are. The southern end, around Sectors 55, 56 and 58, is more residential.

Because so many offices line the road, lunchtimes are busy on weekdays and evenings fill up from Thursday to Saturday. The Rapid Metro has stations along the road (Sector 42-43, Sector 53-54, Sector 54 Chowk and Sector 55-56 among them), and several of the places below sit in or right next to a station. Timings in this guide are taken from each listing's hours; they can change, so check the listing before you set off.

2. DLF Phase 1 & the Sikanderpur end (Sectors 26–28)

DT Mega Mall

At the northern end of the road, DT Mega Mall in DLF Phase 1 has a small dining cluster. Gulati Restaurant serves North Indian food on the upper ground floor and, by its own account, traces its story back to a small dhaba in 1959. Upstairs on the second floor are Seven Barrel Brewpub — a brewpub with outdoor seating and live music, open until 2 AM — and Masala Synergy for Indian food. Alimentos - MJM SPECIALITY FOODCOURT is the mall's food court.

Along the road in DLF Phase 1 and Sector 28

Golden Dragon is a Chinese restaurant in A Block, DLF Phase 1, open until midnight. Opposite Arjun Marg, Jalsa Restaurant is listed as a Tibetan restaurant with rooftop and outdoor seating, live music and a BYOB option. Near the Rapid Metro in Sector 28, The Royal Chefs Kitchen (Indian) is open until 3 AM. For sushi, Konnichiwa is in DLF City Court, Sector 24, and Cafe Amour is a café in Block F, DLF Phase 1.

3. Sector 42: Golf Avenue 42 & Godrej GCR

Golf Avenue 42

Golf Avenue 42 is one of the road's liveliest evening addresses, with several late-closing places stacked across its floors. Anardana Golf Course Road (first floor) describes itself as multi-cuisine and is open until 12:30 AM, and Ikk Panjab is also on the first floor. On the second floor, Porche and Effingut Brewpub Gurugram - India's most loved craft brew pub both brew their own beer and stay open until 2 AM. Sorbo, a Mediterranean restaurant with rooftop seating and live music, also runs until 2 AM, as does KOCA. For something sweet or an early coffee, Mrs Kaur's Bakery & Cafe opens at 7 AM.

Godrej GCR & the Sector 42-43 metro

The ground floor of Godrej GCR has CinCin Golf Course Road (Italian, until 1 AM), Nara Thai (Thai, until 1:30 AM), Starbucks Reserve and Magnolia Bakery. Inside the Sector 42-43 Rapid Metro station is Artistes - Handcrafted Ice Cream, and Japonico serves Japanese food on the second floor of Vipul Tech Square.

4. Sector 43 & DLF Phase 5: One Horizon, Two Horizon & Global Foyer

One Horizon Center

One Horizon Center packs a lot into its plaza level. Delhi Club House (T1-109 Plaza) is a North Indian restaurant with a full bar, live music and outdoor seating that says it is inspired by the clubs of colonial India. Next to it, Paul is a café that serves breakfast and stays open until 1 AM. Hosa describes its food as modern and traditional South Indian, Kimikai is on the plaza level too, and Hahn's Kitchen serves Korean food on the first floor. Sagar Ratna (T1-103) is pure vegetarian. For coffee there's Blue Tokai Roasters and Savorworks Coffee Chocolate - One Horizon Center, a specialty coffee and cacao roaster on the ground floor; for dessert, Frozen Fun Gelato is on the first floor.

Two Horizon Centre

Across the way, Whisky Samba (shops 103–104) is a cocktail bar and grill with outdoor seating that runs until 2 AM, and Marieta (with a full bar) and BANNG are restaurants that stay open until 1 AM and midnight respectively. Early risers are well covered: Pret A Manger and Beanly Coffee, a grab-and-go coffee counter, both open at 7 AM, and 689 by QUORUM. on the first floor opens at 8 AM.

Global Foyer Mall

Global Foyer is Golf Course Road's Japanese and Korean corner. Kogai- Fine Japanese Dining (ground floor) and KUURAKU serve Japanese food, with Unico (Mediterranean) and The Pit (barbecue) nearby. Upstairs, MISO and KoreaTown @ Foyer serve Korean food on the second floor. For the evening, Manhattan Bar & Brewery (first floor) is open until 2 AM, King Kong Karaoke is a karaoke bar, and Lair is a bar that opens at 6 PM.

Elsewhere in Sector 43

Another Fine Day Cafe & Reading Room is a café on the ground floor along the road. ReSet By Plan B at Alpha Corp has rooftop and outdoor seating with live music, 7 Degrees Brauhaus is a brewery, and One8 Commune is at The Statement Baani. Fabcafe by Fabindia is on the first floor of Tower D, Vipul Tech Square, and Sticky Rice serves Asian food. Cosy Box (Mediterranean, until 1 AM) and Ququ Cafe are both in Horizon Colony.

5. Sector 53: South Point Mall, Central Plaza & Summit Plaza

South Point Mall

South Point Mall is the busiest nightlife stop on the road. Open Tap is a brewpub listed as open until 4 AM. On the third floor, Beerlin (brewpub, until 2 AM) and Striker Skybar And Brewpub, which has rooftop seating and live music, share the top level with Downtown South Point mall (until 2 AM). SouthPoint Carnival is a brewpub on the first floor.

For food, the lower ground floor is an Asian food court in all but name: Manami Japanese Restaurant, Peng You Quan (Chinese), haru sigdang and Midam Korean Barbecue Restaurant. The Bibimbab-Southpoint Mall is on the second floor, Ruja Authentic Chinese Restaurant on the first, and Cafe Amaretto (Italian) on the lower ground. Cafés and bakeries include Brick n Bean Cafe Kitchen Bar, which calls itself a European all-day diner and bar, Another Fine Day Cafe, BiziBean, De Cakery, Sweet Obsession, Bread Talk and Sibang Bakery.

Central Plaza & Parsvnath Exotica

Central Plaza is where Golf Course Road stays awake. Chaayos Cafe at Central Plaza and Kenangan Coffee are both listed as open 24 hours, and Samosa Party runs round the clock too. Munch Chow is open until 4 AM, and nearby Chelvies Coffee and Xero degrees are listed until 4 AM too. Berco's (Chinese) is on the second floor, Theobroma – Central Plaza is a patisserie on the ground floor. Nearby in Parsvnath Exotica are The Belgian Waffle Co, THAI ESAN, AH SO YUM, Swear By Biryani, Take Eat Easy (a food court open until 4 AM) and Khadak Singh Da Dhaba, which opens at 4 PM and runs until 5 AM.

Summit Plaza, the metro & the Ibis stretch

DLF Summit Plaza has Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters, Got Tea, FES Cafe & Desserts, Sugar & Spice and Carvel. At the Sector 53-54 metro station, abcoffee GCR Sector 53-54 opens at 7 AM and Nirula's serves ice cream until 3:30 AM. Opposite the Ibis, Clock Tower is a brewery with rooftop seating, and Spice IT- ibis is a buffet restaurant that opens at 7 AM. Near metro pillar 174, The Big Tree has outdoor seating and live music and describes itself as having cabanas and a pet-friendly vibe; Lockup (Italian, until midnight) is at the same pillar. Whisk Cake Studio makes custom cakes, and Dowon Premium Korean Restaurant is in Pegasus One.

6. Sector 54: Palm Springs Plaza, Suncity & AIT Chowk

Palm Springs Plaza

Emaar's Palm Springs Plaza mixes fine dining with bars. EBISU Fine Japanese Cuisine serves lunch and dinner, and Mala Project by Sticky Rice is a Sichuan restaurant on the first floor. Decode Lounge & Bar (first floor, until 2 AM) and The Biker's Cafe - Classic ( Brewpub) (ground floor, outdoor seating and live music) handle the evenings. Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters, Got Tea and Suchalis Artisan Bakehouse cover coffee, bubble tea and bakes.

Suncity Business Tower, AIPL Masterpiece & Time Centre

Suncity Business Tower has Bikanervala (a family restaurant on the ground floor, 8 AM to 11:30 PM), Downtown Skye - Suncity, a rooftop bar and restaurant on the third floor, Sandoz Restaurant & Bar and Cut Coffee Paste - Suncity. At AIPL Masterpiece, Tim Hortons opens at 7 AM and San San - Elevated Asian is on the first floor, and Time Centre has Chaayos and Starbucks - Sector 54.

Along the road in Suncity & Sarswati Kunj

Naivedyam is a South Indian restaurant in Suncity, and Sidewok Restaurant is pan-Asian. Third Wave Coffee is listed as open 24 hours. Opposite Alchemist Hospital, The Forestta is an evening place with outdoor seating and live music, open from 5 PM until 4:30 AM. Grubsoul Seafoods specialises in seafood, Qureshi's Kabab Corner (La Lagune) in Mughlai food, and Boccon Cheeni is an Asian restaurant with rooftop seating that opens at 6 PM. At AIT Chowk, NAMAMI BYOB & KITCHEN has rooftop seating and a BYOB format. Next to the DoubleTree, Baba’s (Baba Chicken) is on the ground floor of Baani Address One.

7. The southern end: Sectors 55, 56 & 58

The road calms down south of the Sector 54 Chowk. Circe Gurgaon is a bar and grill with rooftop seating on the second floor of Baani Address One, and Spiritual Bar & Lounge opens at 5 PM. DilliCious Cafe is in One By Baani, and The Fun Bean Cafe is opposite Cloudnine Hospital in Sector 55. Ovenderful is a bakery that opens at 7 AM. At the far end, Cena Pranzo is the Italian restaurant at the Grand Hyatt in Sector 58, with outdoor seating.

8. Late night on Golf Course Road

Going by listed hours, Golf Course Road has some of the latest-running kitchens in Gurgaon. Open 24 hours: Chaayos Cafe at Central Plaza, Kenangan Coffee, Third Wave Coffee, Dhaba HR 26, Bhai ji shawarma and Paratha House. Until 4–5 AM: Open Tap, The Forestta, Munch Chow, Khadak Singh Da Dhaba, Burger Singh and Khan Chacha - Suncity. The Shawarma Section is listed until 6 AM.

Bars and brewpubs mostly close at 1–2 AM. More options across the city are in Late-Night Food & 24-Hour Pharmacies and Bars, Pubs & Nightlife. Please drink responsibly and don't drive afterwards.

9. Golf Course Road by occasion

Coffee, breakfast or a laptop session

A family meal

Bikanervala, Sagar Ratna, Naivedyam, Gulati Restaurant and the buffet at Spice IT- ibis all suit a relaxed family lunch or dinner.

Vegetarian

A date or a quiet dinner

Kogai- Fine Japanese Dining, EBISU Fine Japanese Cuisine, Cena Pranzo and CinCin Golf Course Road are good places for a slower evening; call ahead, as some close between lunch and dinner.

A big group night out

• Park inside the malls (South Point, Global Foyer, One Horizon) — roadside parking on Golf Course Road is limited.
• The Rapid Metro is often quicker than driving on Friday and Saturday evenings.
